Pastoral Care

Our Pastoral Care Team

We believe passionately that a happy school community breeds confident children who excel academically and socially.

​

Class teachers and all senior leaders in each Key Stage will get to know all their pupils and take responsibility for your child’s welfare and progress in school.  Their aim and duty, is to find the spark that lights the burning fires of lifelong learning in each and every child.

​

Our highly trained Pastoral Team work closely with pupils and families when further support may be required.

​

At Rufford Primary School, we are very fortunate to have Luci, our School Dog, as a member of our Pastoral Care Team.  Luci is highly trained and has been working in schools since she was 6 weeks old.  Luci brings her magic to our school and is a special friend to many of our children (and staff!)

If you would prefer not to interact with Luci, please just let us know.  We want to make sure everyone in our school is comfortable.

Dudley Family Hubs

​

Dudley's family hub network includes five local family hubs, along with online resources and community services which support children and families across the borough. The local family hubs are located at Brierley Hill, Coseley, Dudley, Lye and Stourbridge.

​

The hubs provide a broad range of support services across the borough. These currently include:

  • midwives

  • health visiting

  • parenting and baby groups

  • baby Clinics

  • Citizens advice

  • Pre Natal support

  • Signposting to services and groups

  • Family support 

  • and much more

​
