New Early Years Outdoor Area Promises Exciting Adventures and Learning Opportunities for Young Minds

Updated: Nov 23, 2023

Rufford Primary School were thrilled to have a visit from the Mayor, Andrea Goddard, to open their brand-new Early Years Outdoor Area yesterday. Designed to ignite imagination, foster creativity, and promote active learning for children aged 2 to 5. This innovative addition to the school’s facilities promises to provide an enriching and stimulating environment for the children.

The Headteacher, Erica Tilley, shared her excitement, saying, "We are delighted to introduce this exciting addition to our school. Our Early Years Outdoor Area is not just a playground; it's a space for discovery, creativity, and fun. We look forward to witnessing the joy and growth it brings to our young learners."

The children, including the Wellbeing Champions and House Captains, had a lovely time talking to the Mayor about their school. The Mayor could also see the benefits of the area saying, "The new play area will have such a huge impact on the start of the children's journey at Rufford. I was extremely impressed by the staff's involvement and dedication to their pupils and believe we are going to be hearing more impressive news from this school over the next few years."

Rufford Primary is committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for all the children in school. They strive to foster the social, emotional, academic, and physical development of each of our child, setting a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning.
